A call for coloured pictures to brighten up their “dull” looking station by Keswick fire fighters has been answered by children in the town.
Although the fire station in Penrith Road, which doubles as a base for police in the town, is sporting a number of cheery pictures, the firefighters have issued an urgent message asking for children to draw more.
They would like children to draw bright and colourful pictures of rainbows, fire engines, their favourite place in Keswick or anything that will give their station a cheerful look.
Pictures can be posted through the letter box on the side door at the fire station when children are taking their daily exercise with parents.
