Staff at Keswick’s Mary Hewetson Cottage Hospital were delighted and surprised to receive an unexpected delivery of a giant Easter egg courtesy of a business in the town.
The extra-large chocolate egg was one of the prizes in this year’s Easter raffle, which is organised each year by Keswick Lions, and was won by Simon Parle at U-Compute in Bank Street.
Simon immediately decided to donate the Easter egg to a worthy cause in the town and is pictured (social distancing being observed) handing it over to Sue Jackson, a Home Care Practitioner based at Keswick’s community hospital in Crosthwaite Road.
