Cumbria Libraries is offering a wide range of free services online during the coronavirus lockdown.
It’s e-Services are open to current library members and anyone who would like to join temporarily to take advantage of digital material including e-books and talking books, comics and courses.
To set up a temporary library membership visit www.cumbria.gov.uk/libraries click Library Login and follow the instructions. Once completed and submitted an email with a temporary membership number will be sent to access digital library services straight away.
Anyone with full library membership who can’t remember their card number and PIN should contact: [email protected]
Free online courses are available in addition to a wide range of e-books and e-audiobooks, digital magazines, comics, graphic novels and newspapers can be download for free.
People can also explore their roots and research family trees through ‘Find My Past’ which will be free for the duration of the Covid-19 emergency. To receive the access login information, email [email protected] including your library card number.
There is also free access to the online version of Britannica, offering three sites in one: Britannica online, Britannica Junior online, Britannica Student online.
