An air ambulance had to land in Fitz Park after being called out to an incident in Keswick on Monday evening.
The crew was scrambled after a 57-year-old man had collapsed in Penrith Road with a suspected heart attack.
A defibrillator from the nearby fire station was used in a bid to resuscitate the man, who fell ill in the street at around 6pm.
Our photograph shows the Great North Air Ambulance having landed on a bowling green in Upper Fitz Park, with pedestrians and cyclists nearby.
No details had yet emerged about the casualty later that evening.
