Pupils and staff at Bassenthwaite School and Ducklings Nursery came together to celebrate VE Day 75 last Friday – sharing their experiences and creative skills via the school’s learning platform and Facebook page.
Head teacher Sara Royle said: “We were hoping to celebrate in style together last week to celebrate VE Day 75. Unfortunately, we were apart but this did not stop us from celebrating together.
“Many of us baked, some of us sang and danced, and many had socially distanced tea parties. We have shared our experiences with the children via our learning platform and through a video on our Facebook page.”
