Show your NHS and key workers how much you appreciate their hard work and commitment during the coronavirus epidemic tonight at 8pm for week 9 of the nationwide Clap For Our Carers campaign.
Join the millions of people who take part in the weekly ‘Clap for our Carers’ campaign every Thursday evening, by getting out on your doorsteps and balconies, in your gardens or standing in windows to clap, bang pots and pans, ring bells and play musical instruments to let the 1.3 million NHS and health care workers, and care home and hospice staff, and other vital key workers know – LOUD and CLEAR – how much you appreciate what they are doing for us during these unprecedented times.
Key workers include post and bin workers, teachers, supermarket staff, delivery drivers, pharmacists, journalists and volunteers who are also working all hours during the coronavirus crisis.
The Clap for our Carers campaign was created by London-based Dutch yoga teacher Annemarie Plas, who came up with the idea after seeing footage of a similar tribute in her home country.
Using social media, Annemarie spread the word of the campaign, with millions of people across the UK now taking part in this weekly event – at 8pm every Thursday – to give a boost to and show support for the people working tirelessly under the current extremely difficult circumstances.
So, let’s all show our support for these amazing and brave people and #ClapForOurCarers – tonight at 8pm.
