Members of the town’s WI have been busy with their sewing machines making face coverings for the Keswick Volunteers group which is providing a range of services for vulnerable people in the area during the coronavirus crisis.
Heather Askew, project manager for Keswick Community Emergency Recovery Partnership (KCERP), said: “I’d seen some instructions on Facebook for making your own face coverings and I wondered if the WI might be able to make some for our volunteers. After a quick email to Helen Dalzell, the WI sprang into action.”
The face coverings have been made in a variety of materials, giving an individual look for all the volunteers.
