Households across Allerdale that have a second garden waste bin will be able to place it out for collection from Monday 8th June.
Garden waste collections were resumed in the borough on 11th May after being suspended since late March due to the coronavirus. The council asked that each household place only one bin out to help the crews deliver the service smoothly and ensure there would be enough capacity in the collection vehicles.
Thanks to residents playing their part in helping the service to resume the council is now in a position to collect a second garden waste bin from those properties that have more than one container.
The council has been collecting larger quantities of garden waste than normal since the resumption but the crews and the team at Allerdale Waste Services have worked hard to keep collections going.
Visit the Allerdale website for more information and to check collection dates.
