A small section of Southey Street in Keswick will be closed from Monday for five days to allow United Utilities to carry out repair work.
The road will be closed for a 40-metre stretch between its junctions with Acorn Street and Church Street.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained and an alternative route will be signed via Church Street, Ratcliffe Place and Acorn Street.
