Four kayakers who got into difficulty on Derwentwater were successfully rescued in a multi-agency operation.
Police were alerted to an incident shortly after 5.50pm on Thursday after the quartet had reportedly capsized.
A swift operation involving police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and Keswick mountain rescue team rescued all four men who were taken to Penrith Hospital to be checked over.
