The 32nd Keswick Victorian Fayre charity event this Sunday has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic restrictions.
Organisers held off making the final decision until the latest possible time, but have concluded that it cannot go ahead.
This is only the third occasion that the popular annual event, which is held in Keswick Market Square on the first Sunday in December each year, has not gone ahead.
This will affect the many local charities which were able to raise vital funds to help their invaluable work at what for some organisations was their biggest fundraising event of each year.
Plans are already in place for the 2021 event which will be held as usual on 5th December, when star visitors, the Cairngorm Reindeer, have already reserved the date in their diary.
