A temporary road closure is to be put in place on the B5292 Whinlatter Pass to Braithwaite road in the New Year.
Cumbria Highways will carry out carriageway patching work.
Work is expected to start on January 4th and it is anticipated that they will take three weeks to complete.
The section of road to close is 400 metres north west of the road’s junction with the A66, extending in a north west direction for approximately one kilometre.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained along the route at all times.
An alternative route for vehicles will be signed and made available via the unrestricted sections of Whinlatter Pass, Lorton Road, B5292, A5086 and A66.
