Drivers are being urged to make sure they are prepared as cold weather is due to move across the county over the next few days.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is for snow and freezing conditions.
A police spokesman said: “Please make sure you have emergency supplies in your vehicle, check your vehicle over for defects and take care on the road.”
Temperatures are forecast to be from just above freezing to -6 degrees Celsius over the next seven days across the county.
