A Keswick hotel will reopen next month under new ownership.
The Derwentwater Hotel was part of the Shearings Hotel group, which went into administration in May of last year.
It was feared it would never open its doors again, but it – along with the Windermere Hotel in Windermere – was taken over by Bespoke Hotels.
The Coast & Country Hotel Collection is a newly formed collection of former Shearings Hotels across the UK.
The hotels briefly opened their doors again in August until the latest lockdown forced closure again.
The properties are now set to reopen as lockdown eases – with an opening date set for May 17.
The Derwent Manor Apartments, a set of 19 self-catering apartments in Keswick, has also been included within the Coast & Country portfolio, and is aiming to reopen to guests later this month.
The group has pledged to re-employ previous staff, and said it was also looking to create new roles.

“Now though, with reopening plans in place, we’re able to offer not just jobs and wider tourism opportunities, but hospitality services that people can engage with as restrictions lift.”
