Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner is inviting people to contact him with concerns, ideas and suggestions for policing in the county at an upcoming public surgery.
Members of the public are invited to contact Peter McCall online or make and appointment for a direct telephone conversation.
His public surgery will take place between 10am and 12pm on June 24.
“A large part of my role as Police and Crime Commissioner is to hear the views and concerns from residents of Cumbria. Listening to the public and holding surgeries such as these, is just one of the ways that I can hear views and any local concerns about community safety,” Peter McCall said.
“I urge people to take this opportunity to get in touch, either online or over the phone for a chat. For me to be the voice of the people in policing, I need to hear what matters to people most, and what they consider to be their local priorities.
“Once local community groups and meetings restart, I would also like to invite people to contact me as I really want to get out in the community, to see for myself the issues and how policing can help.
“If you have a concern that you would like to discuss or simply want to find out more about what we, as a police force, are doing to support you – please do contact me on 01768 217734 and arrange an appointment over the phone, or email me directly on at [email protected]
“With your information, we can use this to help prioritise what we do to improve the quality of life for those living or working in Cumbria.
“It is important that we all take some responsibility to help keep our county safe and it is only by working together, that we can tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in our local communities.”
