Pizza loving customers have been asked to dream up the new menu for a popular Lakeland restaurant.
LB’s Pizza House in Keswick recently reopened after being closed for more than a year due to the COVID lockdown.
To celebrate, they took to social media to ask customers each to design their own pizza.
Mark Harris, executive head chef at LB’s parent company Lake District Hotels, then whittled down the list to eight finalists whose designs inspired him the most.
“We then asked folk to select their favourite pizza creations over a succession of days,” Mark said.
“The pizza that came out triumphant in the votes was San Marzano tomato, mozzarella, nduja, burrata, with a drizzle of chilli oil and honey.”
The victorious pizza was designed by Charlotte Watson, of Sheffield, who won 10 free pizzas to enjoy at the venue.
The restaurant, which is overseen by Italian head chef Fabio Ricchieri, serves a range of traditional stone-baked pizzas inspired by his hometown of Frassinelle Polesine near Venice.
