People had to be cut out of their vehicle following a traffic collision on the A591.
Two fire engines from Keswick Fire Station attended the incident at Thirlmere at around 6.25pm last night.
Two people were trapped inside their car.
The collision involved one vehicle and crews were in attendance for around an hour.
The casualties were given into the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
