A Keswick charity shop hit hard by the outbreak of Covid-19 is appealing for urgent donations to help boost funds.
Staff at the British Heart Foundation shop in Museum Square have launched a “Keswick, we need your help!” campaign.
“Donations slowed down drastically due to Covid, with people not knowing whether we were accepting donations or not,” said assistant manager Bethan Hook.
“This has had an effect on the amount of stock and donations we have received and therefore has impacted on the amount of funds we have been able to raise.
“We are in need of books, toys, CDs, DVDs, records, bric-a-brac, clothes and shoes. To make a donation simply bring your items in-store and pop them in the red bin by the door – no appointment is needed.”
Management at the shop are currently looking to recruit a volunteer collection driver to do home pick-ups. Other volunteering opportunities are also available in-store for those aged over 16.
The store is open seven days a week and can be contacted on 01768 773701 to arrange collections or for any queries.
