A creative venue in Keswick will be helping people to get into the festive spirit with a Christmas Gift Fair running until December 19 and a number of weekend workshops.
The Makers Mill at Greta Side has swung into the Christmas spirit with a huge range of handmade decorations all made by people in Cumbria and accompanied by a series of workshops starting from this weekend.
Overseen by professional tutors, there will be glass blowing to help people make their own Christmas baubles, along with sessions to make cards, Christmas wrapping and willow decorating.
Furniture maker Luke Harding and design engineer Sophie Wilson, of Sew Design, opened Makers Mill in August 2019 after the derelict building underwent a major four year renovation project.
Sophie said: “We have a huge range of handmade decorations and gift items — all unique and handmade by Cumbria people which you won’t get online or in the shops.
