Edinburgh Woollen Mill has reopened an outlet in Keswick – 18 months after it was closed down following the company’s collapse.
It is understood that seven jobs have been created at the store in Main Street, including a number of full-time positions.
Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, which owned the Edinburgh Woollen Mill (EWM), Peacocks and Jaeger brands, called in administrators in November 2020.
The Keswick branch was one of more than 350 stores that closed nationwide, with the loss of 2,800 jobs across the three brands.
A spokesman for EWM said: “We’re delighted to be back in Keswick and to be able to say it’s business as usual.”
