Fifteen volunteers from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called out yesterday to help a walker who slipped on Blencathra.
The team were called by a group of people who were descending Hall’s Fell as one of them had slipped and torn his thigh muscle.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said: “The team arrived on scene and, after assessing the man’s injury, stretchered him down the rest of the way down.
“Due to the steepness of the route a back-up rope was used to secure the stretcher during the descent. Once at the roadside his friends were able to drive him onto the minor injuries hospital in Keswick for further treatment.”
The team were out for two hours and 24 minutes.
