Scaffolding around Keswick’s Premier Inn is starting to be dismantled – revealing the hotel for the first time.
Set to open at the end of the year, the 71-bedroom hotel is likely to create around 25 new jobs.
A spokesman said: “It is a real landmark for Premier Inn and we can’t wait to be open and supporting the local economy all year-round.
“Construction is progressing well and with the scaffolding now removed, you get a sense of the design of the new hotel building and the quality of the materials we have used. It is still a little too early to confirm a new opening date for the hotel but we are on track to open the doors before Christmas all being well.
“As we get closer to opening the doors, we have started to recruit the new team to run the hotel.
“Karl, the new hotel manager for the Keswick Premier Inn, has a great story with the business having started his hospitality career as a Premier Inn receptionist 10 years ago. He is now leading the recruitment for the new Keswick Premier Inn.”
