The A Word spin-off Ralph & Katie is set to return to TV screens next month – and the Lake District plays a supporting role.
The BBC series, which will follow the pair’s first year of marriage, was filmed in Cumbria – with several key scenes shot in Keswick.
The new six-part series, which will start on October 5, follows Ralph and Katie as they navigate their own way through life, love and independence.
Ralph and Katie will face many of the challenges faced by all newlyweds… but with the added blessing or complication that they both have Down’s syndrome.
Leon Harrop (Brassic, No Offence, The Street) and Sarah Gordy (The Long Call, Strike, Call the Midwife) will take Ralph and Katie on an emotional rollercoaster, supported by some new faces and the odd familiar overbearing parent…
