A washing-themed Christmas tree in a Keswick laundrette has been putting customers in a spin.
The eye-catching tree in the Bank Street premises of The Keswick Laundry Services has proved to be a real head turner.
It features washing machine baubles, blue Ikea bags, paper chains and its crowning glory is a Fairy bottle with wings.
Staff have been responsible for decorating it and one of them, Alex Branson-Fell said: “Last year the Christmas tree was really badly decorated so we said that we would take over responsibility for the decorations this year.”
Owner Joy Taylor gave them a small budget to work with and the washing-themed tree was born.
“It has been very well received,” said Alex. “We did not think it would be this popular. Everybody seems to love it. I think it’s the novelty of it and we are very proud of it.”
