A top business student at Keswick School has been presented with an award by Cumbrian accountants Lamont Pridmore.
Ella Magee has won this year’s Lamont Pridmore Business Studies Student Award for her outstanding work.
Ella was selected for the award by her teachers for being an exceptional business student who developed a detailed understanding of business finance, human resources, marketing, business operations and production. She received a grade nine in her business studies exam.
She was presented with a trophy and book vouchers by Philip Pridmore, a director at Lamont Pridmore’s Keswick office.
He said: “It is a real pleasure to be able to present this award to such a dedicated and talented student. I think this will be the beginning of great things for Ella and a great start for a future business career.”
Lamont Pridmore supports several school awards across Cumbria, through which it promotes the benefits of business studies in hopes of cultivating the region’s next generation of business leaders.
Lamont Pridmore has worked with Keswick School for over a decade and is proud of its annual student award sponsorship.
Simon Jackson, Keswick School’s headteacher said: “It’s always a great pleasure to have our student’s hard work and efforts recognised by a prestigious, local firm like Lamont Pridmore. This award and others form a great link between education and business.”
