Plans to upgrade the village play area at Threlkeld have been given a boost.
At a recent meeting, Threlkeld Parish Council pledged to provide £20,000 towards the project following a request by Threlkeld Toddlers.
Eden District Council is also expected to contribute £12,500, dependent on approval, and providing match-funding can be raised.
A further £6,000 could come from Threlkeld Events.
Threlkeld Parish Council has also nominated parish councillor David Allaker to work with the group on the project.
