Customers of a Keswick pub have raised £275 for Calvert Lakes Stables.
Locals at the Twa Dogs Inn raised the money through a bingo evening and lottery. The donation will go towards tack and equipment for Calvert Stables’ two new ponies – Queenie and Amber.
Outgoing tenant at the Twa Dogs, Justin Farnan, said: “Having worked at the Calvert Trust from 2015 to 2021, it’s a charity that’s very close to my heart. A big thank you to all our regulars who have now raised over £2,500 for various charities.”
Henri Carew, stables manager at Calvert Stables and a regular at the Twa Dogs, said: “We are very grateful to everyone at the Twa Dogs for their generosity. Every donation makes a real difference when it comes to running our stables.”
