A junior tennis programme is to start up again at Keswick and Braithwaite Lawn Tennis Club.
The sessions at the Braithwaite Institute will include mini sessions for children in primary and secondary school years two to six using smaller rackets and slower and lower bouncing balls.
The programme is being organised and coached by Gary Payton, a former Great Britain number one and world ranked number 12 in the ITF Masters rankings. He is a Level 4 qualified and licensed Lawn Tennis Association coach.
Details of Keswick and Braithwaite sessions are:
l Juniors (for secondary school students), Tuesdays from April 25, 4.15pm to 5.05pm – cost £36 for six sessions;
l Red (years 2 and 3) Wednesdays from April 26, 4pm to 4.40pm – cost £30 for six sessions;
l Orange/Green (years 4,5 and 6) Wednesdays from April 26, 4.50pm to 5.40pm – cost £33 for six sessions.
The club is also offering a £6 discount on all prices for current club members and/or new joiners.

Keswick and Braithwaite Lawn Tennis Club offers access to six top quality tennis courts – three grass and three hard) situated in two locations. Top quality coaching is available along with relaxed, inclusive and social club sessions and regular competitive play with the club competing in both the West Cumbria and the National League (Cumbria).
