A paddleboarder in the Lake District found a still smouldering and abandoned fire by the side of Derwentwater.
Jason Holt was out at 8.30am today, June 4, when he spotted the fire.
He said: “I found this on the opposite side of the Lake at the pier.
“Still smouldering away, plastic bottles, smashed empty bottle of bubbly. Total disregard for the beautiful area.
“Leave the countryside the way you found it, take your rubbish and don’t make fires! I distinguished and broke it up the fire.”
