There are new names above the door of an historic Keswick town centre pub.
The father and son partnership of Jim and Connor O’Neil have received a warm welcome from customers at The Oddfellows in Main Street.
They are already familiar faces, having worked in the pub under previous tenants Carl and Cath Maloney. But this is the first time that they have run a pub together and Connor described it as exciting.
“We are extremely excited and hopefully quite confident that it’s going to go really well for us,” said Connor, who will be living at the pub while his dad returns to Cockermouth.
“We have had a lot of locals coming in and quite a lot of them we already know. The town is showing quite a bit of support for us.”
The pair were due to start serving food again on Monday and are looking to employ three chefs.
