Trade at a Keswick pub that has changed hands a number of times over the past couple of years is said to be “picking up nicely”.
A report on the West Cumbria Campaign for Real Ale website said that there was a good local clientele following at the Twa Dogs Inn on Penrith Road.
“Following a period of turmoil after owner, The Martson’s Pub Company, ejected a former long term tenant, it seems to be back on its feet again under new tenants,” says the report. “Catering offers include a changing daily meal-including-drinks deals on the lines of Wetherspoons and with what looks like a standard Marston’s pub estate menu.’’
In March the Reminder reported that Justin Farnan and Wulf Davison had called time on the venture since running the pub from November 28. And in May the paper reported that Chris Bridge and his partner Emma Jane-Harrison had taken over its running.
