A card shop in Keswick forced to close in December due to a damaging leak has re-opened in style.
Parts of the shop ceiling collapsed, everywhere was either damp or soaked through, and stock including Christmas trading items were ruined.
Delighted local customers turned out for the “grand re-opening” to see the freshly refurbished premises. Sun and showers were forecast, but the heaviest just had to arrive as members from the wonderful Wayfarers Theatre burst into the Courtyard to sing, dance, and perform extracts from their recent production of As You Like It.
There was also a raffle supported by the other businesses in Packhorse Court and a £50 Bar Es voucher was won by Barbara Parr.
Other prizes included a Honeypot cafe cream; a Cheese Deli voucher; wine tasting voucher; Craft Beer voucher and a Sweet Treats sweetie jar.
