Temporary road closures are to be put in place on the U2234 St John’s-in-the-Vale and B5289 Buttermere to allow Viberoptix to carry out utility works.
The closures will come into effect on November 1 and the works are expected to take 10 days to complete.
The B5289 will be closed from its junction with Newlands Pass, extending in a north-westerly direction for 920 metres.
The alternative route is via the unrestricted sections of the B5289, Borrowdale Road, A66 and B5292 and a way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
The U2234 will close from its junction with B5322, extending in a westerly direction for around 400 metres. The alternative route will be via the B5322, Station Road, A66, U2960 and U2233.
