A section of the A591 has been closed due to an unsafe building.
The Keswick to Bassenthwaite Road, outside the Calvert Trust, is not accessible and a diversion has been put in place.
Cumberland Council said in an update: “Our teams are working with the building owner, their engineer and potential contractors to make the area safe and remove any potential danger to the public so that the road can reopen as quickly as possible.”
The diversion route is to the Crosthwaite roundabout, along the A66 to Cockermouth roundabout then up the A595 to Bell Vue roundabout, then onto Bothel and back along the A591.
