Keswick Youth Centre Services has been named as Lake District Hotels’ charity of the year.
Keswick Youth Centre Services is dedicated to enhancing the lives of young people throughout the area.
By providing essential services and support, KYCS ensures that the youth have access to a safe space, engaging activities and valuable mentorship opportunities.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Keswick Youth Centre Services as our Charity of the Year for 2024,” said Dani Hope, director of Lake District Hotels.
“As a family-owned and operated group deeply rooted in Keswick, we are committed to giving back to our community and supporting causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents, especially the youth.”
Most recently, the group raised over £7,500 for Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, in its previous charity campaign.
Lake District Hotels has raised over £65,000 for five charities since its fundraising initiatives began in 2016. The company also raised £10,000 to aid Ukrainian refugees within a week of the outbreak of war in 2022.
In 2023, it raised £10,000 for the Turkey/Syria Earthquake appeal in less than 48 hours.
Gary Lovatt, trustee of KYCS said “We are thrilled to be chosen. All monies raised go directly to helping the youth club which works solely on the goodwill of volunteers and by donations and grants.”
“We want to ensure the town and surrounding area remains vibrant and becomes a place for our children to grow and gain employment. We look forward to working with Dani and her team for the betterhood of everyone in Keswick and the surrounding area in the months to come.”
Throughout the year, Lake District Hotels will conduct fundraising events across all six of their hotels including the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa and Borrowdale Hotel in the Borrowdale Valley; the Inn on the Square, Skiddaw Hotel and Kings Arms Hotel in Keswick and the Inn on the Lake at Glenridding.
