Two “all you care to enjoy” Spanish tapas nights will take place at Keswick’s Skiddaw Hotel later this month.
They follow on from the resounding success of a previous Spanish tasting night in March.
The latest events on June 20 and 21st promise to be a treat for the taste buds, showcasing a range of more casual Spanish dishes that people know and love.
Bobby Fillingham, head chef and connoisseur of Spanish cuisine, said: “Whereas the last Spanish event was an opportunity to showcase more refined Spanish food, these nights will feature a whole array of feel-good authentic tapas dishes that satisfy the taste buds.
“We’ve become well-known for our tapas, which we’ve been serving at the Skiddaw Hotel since 2020, but these dishes will provide a taste of some new flavours we don’t currently serve, as well as existing guest favourites.”
The two events, hosted in Brasserie 31, will offer guests 90 minutes of unlimited tapas dishes, allowing them to savour their favourites time and time again. Additionally, upon arrival, attendees will be greeted with a complimentary glass of Spanish red or white sangria, setting the tone for a great evening.
Bobby’s passion for Spanish cooking is deeply rooted, stemming from his extensive experience living and working in the Balearics for more than 18 years, therefore guests attending on either night can expect a lavish spread of traditional dishes that perfectly capture the essence of Spanish culture.
From platters of expertly curated cured meats and succulent pork meatballs in a rich tomato sauce to sizzling chorizo cooked in wine and the classic favourite of patatas bravas, the menu promises to satisfy all cravings.
The foodie fare also includes a couple of sweet options including unlimited churros with warm chocolate sauce, as well as burnt Basque vanilla cheesecake.
As an added treat, guests will also have the opportunity to learn how to recreate the Skiddaw Hotel’s signature sangria at home through an exclusive demonstration.
