A resident of The Millfield care home on Penrith Road, Keswick, has celebrated her 100th birthday.
Stella Lineham’s big day was celebrated on June 17 when she received a card from the King, a bouquet of flowers from Andy Cannon, the president of Keswick Lions, an adorable teddy from Clinkards and a special cake from The Millfield.
She was also surrounded by her loving family on this very special day.
Miss Lineham, who was born in Ayrshire, studied at Edinburgh University where she got a degree in geography. After a brief spell as a teacher she moved to Zimbabwe and worked in the meteorology department.
She moved to Keswick in 2000 to be near her sister, Laura Houston, who lives at Chestnut Park and has lived in the town for 70 plus years. Miss Lineham became a resident of Millfield in 2015.
