A coach got stuck when its driver attempted to negotiate the tight bends on the busy road from Portinscale to Grange last Friday afternoon.
A passer-by, who supplied this picture to The Keswick Reminder, said: “The driver had come from Portinscale, realised he was never going to make it round the tight bends towards the cattle grid so had attempted to turn around.
“The back end of the coach then got stuck and the rear wheels left the ground. The effect was a total block on the Portinscale-Grange road to all motor vehicles, including the 77 bus route.
“The driver had obviously pressed the ‘gormless’ button on his sat nav!”
It is not known how the coach was extricated but the road was clear by the evening.
