A by-elections for the Keswick seat on Cumberland Council took place yesterday.
The results have been declared and is as follows:

- Jane Cunningham Hall, Green Party – 85
- Graham Anthony King, Conservative Party – 384
- Sally Anne Lansbury, Labour Party – 513 ELECTED
- John Roger Rivers, Liberal Democrats – 29
Rejected ballot papers – 5 unmarked/uncertain
- Turnout 24.46%
- Electorate: 4,154
- Ballot papers issued: 1,016
