A popular televised art competition is to be filmed in Keswick next month.
A heat of Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year will be set in Crow Park over two days.
The show searches for the best landscape artist in the country.
Every year aspiring artists battle it out over several rounds, painting at locations across the UK all with the aim of being crowned the winner and receiving a £10,000 commission from a major institution.
Artists enter the competition with landscape artwork created within the past five years. They are selected on merit by a panel of expert judges. At the heats they are given four hours to paint a particular, stunning landscape somewhere in the UK
Filming at Crow Park will take place on Wednesday June 18 and Thursday June 19. Painting normally starts at around 9.30am and finishes around 6pm.
The programme is presented by Stephen Mangan and previous hosts have been Frank Skinner and Joan Bakewell.
