Revellers attending the Keswick Beer Festival this weekend will have 128 ales (cask and keg) and 30 ciders to choose from.
Hundreds of people are expected to flock to Keswick Rugby Club for this much looked forward to event which has been running since 1997.
It raises money for the rugby club and Keswick Lions and features live music. For one of the bands, the mOObs, it will be their last performance at the festival and they will be playing on Saturday night (June 7).
Beer festival chair Adrian Holme said it is quite surreal to think that many of the hard-working committee, who are now in their mid-50s, were in their 20s when the festival began. He said that over the years many friendships have been formed.
“It is testament to the vision, ethos and people involved that we continue with successful events every year raising funds for our respective causes Keswick Lions and Keswick Rugby Club,” he said.
He also thanked the sponsors and suppliers who ”provide excellent services at the lowest prices we can haggle to maximise profits for our charities.”
