Keswick Mountain Rescue Team responded to their 105th callout of the year when they went to the aid of a woman who had suffered a panic attack and become crag fast on Barrow Fell.
She had been out walking with her husband who requested the assistance of the volunteers.
A small team was dispatched from the base, with other team members going direct, to assess the woman and help her descend.
With encouragement the uninjured woman was able to be walked down to her car at Braithwaite.
The incident on Thursday afternoon lasted just under an hour and involved eight team members.
