An emergency road closure has been put in place on Brundholme Road in Keswick due to the likelihood of danger as a result of the dangerous condition of the highway.
The notice, from highways authority Cumbria County Council, came into force last Saturday and could be in place for up to three weeks.
The closure is from Brundholme Road’s junction with Station Avenue, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of around 250 metre.
The county council suggested an alternative route via the unrestricted sections of Brundholme Road, Crosthwaite Road, High Hill, Main Street, Bank Street and Station Street.
