A paddleboarder who was left stranded in Bassenthwaite Lake was rescued by Keswick firefighters.
Three fire engines were called out at around 8.20pm last night, July 20.
Due to the wind picking up and weather conditions changing, the paddleboarder was unable to get themselves back to the shore and was left stranded.
The paddleboarder was rescued by boat.
Keswick Fire Station said: “Big thanks to Workington Fire Station and Whitehaven Fire Station for all their help.
“Please be aware of the dangers around water and how quickly things can go wrong.”
Crews were detained for about an hour and 20 minutes.
