John Young – the interiors, furniture and antique shop in the heart of Keswick – has welcomed a new member of staff.
Adele McKewan has joined the team as sales consultant.
Following the recent relocation of the antiques to a dedicated first floor showroom, the John Young team has refocused the business, with more concentration on home interior furniture and furnishings in the courtyard gallery.
This also created an opportunity to recruit a sales consultant with creativity and a flair for interiors.
Adele loves working with textiles and prints and is quite at home helping customers choose the right soft furnishings and furniture. Adele runs a holiday cottage of her own and knows only too well what needs to be taken into consideration when refurbishing a property.
She is also very practical so, in addition to helping you choose the right style sofas, chairs and furnishings, she can also help choose curtain fabrics “I’ve joined the company at an exciting time, a time of change at John Young, with new, more modern branding that reflects what we offer – a classic and contemporary range of furniture and furnishings,” said Adele.
Commenting on her appointment, John Young’s shop manager Elizabeth Weightman said: “Adele has fitted into the team very well and has already established a great understanding of what our suppliers can offer.”
As an independent quality furniture retailer, John Young’s is one of only a few in the country that sells British manufactured furniture and upholstery.
It is this that attracts customers from across the UK, making Keswick a destination when shopping for high quality furniture.
