Drivers warned to take care on Lake District roads after vehicles get stuck

Reports are coming in of vehicles getting stuck on Lake District roads due to the weather.

Cumbria police said: “This morning there are reports of vehicles getting stuck on Whinlatter Pass near Keswick and Kirkstone Pass A591 between Windermere and Keswick.

“Please be wary travelling on the rural routes in the Lake District as many of those roads still are not suitable to drive on.”
