Threlkeld Primary School will be closed tomorrow due to a planned power cut in the village.
Cumbria County Council has issued the advice to parents as Electricity North West is due to carry out work in the area tomorrow, January 26.
The school is set to reopen on Friday, Cumbria County Council said.
Electricity North West said “This is to improve the reliability of your electricity supply and so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide electricity to your home or business.”
It will be turned off after 9am and engineers will aim to have power restored by 5pm.
Forty-nine properties will be affected in the postcodes CA12 5RY, CA12 5SZ, CA12 5RW.
