Teachers at Keswick School will walk out on Wednesday over a pay dispute.
Members of the National Education Union voted overwhelmingly to walk out and have organised a series of strikes over the next two months, unless an agreement is reached with the Government.
The union says teachers have experienced a 23 per cent real terms pay cut since 2010 and is asking for a fully funded, above inflation pay rise.
The NEU is demanding a pay rise for its members of 12 per cent, but the Government has offered five per cent.
The union represents staff including teachers, further education lecturers, support staff, teaching assistants and supply and agency teachers.
Its members also work in education support services, alternative education provision settings, and early years settings.
Not enough members of two other teaching unions – the National Association of Schoolmasters/Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) and the National Association of Headteachers – voted in favour of taking industrial action.
More schools are set to announce whether they will close over the coming days as headteachers and governors decide if their schools can open safely.
