Keswick Town Council has revised its precept figures after receiving a £20,000 grant from the new Cumberland Council which will go towards maintaining Fitz Park.
The cash injection means that the council’s budgeted precept demand – its share of the council tax bill – has fallen from 13 per cent to 7.21 per cent.
It means an increase of 21p per week – an increase of £10.89 per annum – on a Band D property.
