A Keswick couple have been left intrigued after spotting a UFO late one night last week.
Diane Moore, of Stanger Street, chanced on the strange sighting at 11.23pm on March 13 as she passed a landing window.
Partner Samantha Watson described the shape in the sky as having four lights with one appearing to be brighter than the other and seeming to flicker.
Although it was a clear night, the exact shape was difficult to make out, but appeared rectangular, she said.
From their property, it would have been high above Packhorse Court and heading towards the lake.
They caught footage of the mystery object on video and posted it online, with some suggesting it could be a drone or people fell-walking with torches.
But Samantha is not convinced as it remained stationary and there are no hills tall enough at the height they saw the shape.
“It was intriguing and a little bit scary,” said Samantha, a support worker in Penrith, who rang her dad next door to ask if he could see it.
“I really don’t know what it was and it’s totally unexplained.”
